Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is transmitted directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Marion County Court Docket does not retain or record those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained as needed to prepare and document a response. Messages remain within the operating team unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the servers may automatically receive basic technical and usage details:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files used to understand traffic patterns, including popular pages and common exit points. Analytics providers may combine visits into general performance reports. Browser controls can block cookies, although disabling them may change how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Marion County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of docket entries or personal case information. It publishes general directions to Superior Court of Marion County, the Superior and Juvenile Clerk, other local courts, and Georgia access services. The site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party case profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the embedded search tools. Information submitted there is governed by that provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider controls its retention and disclosure practices, so review its terms before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to court and clerk pages, Georgia access systems, legal-aid resources, or commercial search providers. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy policy controls. Review it before providing personal information.
Advertising companies may use their own systems to follow activity across websites for interest-based advertising. Marion County Court Docket does not operate that tracking.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards protect collected information. No internet service can guarantee complete security, however, and this site cannot promise that unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. A verified report that a minor supplied such data will be addressed by deleting it.
Your Data Rights
Applicable privacy and consumer-protection law may provide additional rights based on a visitor's residence. The Georgia Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. ยงยง 50-18-70 and 50-18-71, and Uniform Superior Court Rule 21 govern access to government and court records; they do not turn visitor analytics into a court record. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
